If you’re looking for a cute hairstyle that will keep your hair out of your face, then these five bun ideas are perfect! You can wear them with any outfit, and they’ll look great. They also won’t take up much time in the morning to do.
1. Messy Updo
You can create a messy updo very quickly with the assistance of some bobby pins. Take a section from the front of your hair and pull it up into a ponytail that is just slightly higher than where you would wear it normally.
Grab another section from the front, this time from below the first section you pulled up and pull it back and through your ponytail.
Now take a thin section from above this second piece of hair and wrap it around the base to create a bun. Secure with bobby pins if necessary.
2. Half bun
Making a half-bun hairstyle is simple and can be completed in a minute or two. Start by gathering your hair at the crown of your head and tying it together with an elastic band
Pulling all of your hair back into one bun might look too bulky for some. If this is the case with you, use bobby pins to pull some of the hair out around the face to make it appear more natural.
3. Loosely Twisted Bun
Creating a loosely twisted bun is simple and can be accomplished in less than ten minutes. Start by gathering all your hair into one ponytail at the top of your head.
Braid the ponytail tightly while applying some hair gel to the braid so it doesn’t unravel.
When you get down to the very end of your ponytail, secure it with a clear elastic band. Unravel the braid and use fingers to loosen it up until it appears relaxed. You can add in additional braids or twists for more formal wear if desired.
3. Twisted Top Knot
To create this look, you will need two matching elastics as well as a small section of hair (about one inch).
Cross the two elastics and begin twisting them to create a rope.
When you’ve twisted it all up, twist the ends together to ensure they are secure. Twist the rope down towards your head, creating a loop. Secure at the bottom by tucking in with bobby pins.
4. Double Top Knot
You can create a double top knot very quickly and easily, and it looks great with almost any outfit.
Create an undercut on each side of your head by shaving or cutting the hair underneath your natural part.
Pull all of your hair back into a ponytail and tie once at the nape of your neck (you may add an elastic for extra security).
Grab the tail of the ponytail and bring it up to meet the top part. Secure with an elastic, then wrap it around into a bun, making sure to tuck in all loose hairs.
5. Low rolled bun
To create this look, you will need a sock with the toe cut out-if. You don’t have one to hand. Simply cut a hole in an old stocking.
Put your hair into a ponytail and roll it up into the sock. Secure with bobby pins if necessary. To create a more natural look, pull out some hair from around the face.
You can also wrap some hair around your ponytail if desired. If your hair is longer, you may want to twist it first into a rope before rolling it up into the sock. This is a beautiful hairstyle for long hair.
